The objectives of DESTINY MUSIC are to help you to:

• Recognise your true destiny, which is to worship the one and only God.
• Realise your potential in using music to worship God.
• Reach out to your generation through Christian music and worship.

The first Destiny Music Awards was launched in 2007 with a songwriting competition. Last year, singing categories were added. For the third Destiny Music Awards thie year, there will be a brand new Dance category.

The competition categories for Destiny Music Awards 2009 are:
Best Original Song (English/Chinese)
Best Vocalist (English/Chinese)
Best Group (English/Chinese)
Best Dance

You are eligible to join the competition if you are a student in any educational institution in Singapore and fall into any of the following age groups:
Secondary - 12 to 17 years old
Post-Secondary - 17 to 20 years old

Auditions will be held from 27-31 Jul 2009.

Finals will be held on 11 Sep 2009 (Secondary) and 12 Sep 2009 (Post-Secondary).
