BEST VOCALIST (ENGLISH/CHINESE)

All participants will be scheduled to attend an audition on either 19 or 20 Nov 2008. Three finalists will be selected to compete at the finals on 21 Nov 2008.

PERFORMANCE GUIDELINES

- Vocalists are to sing a Christian song of duration 3 to 5 mins long
- Lyrics to express a Christian viewpoint (on one hand without necessarily including any direct reference to the names or titles of God, on the other hand it should not merely remain at the level of a love song to a human despite/even with the use of hyperboles)
- Lyrics can be in English or Chinese
- For the auditions, vocalists are to provide their own accompaniment (either live guitar/keyboard or minus one track on audio CD)
- At the auditions, vocalists must also bring along a copy of the song to be sung (either lead sheet or lyrics)

AWARDS
Judges' Choice will be awarded to the vocalist with the highest score given by the panel of judges comprising renowned Christian musicians/songwriters based on the following criteria:

Voters' Choice will be awarded to the vocalist with the highest number of votes received during the voting by the audience at the finals.
