BEST GROUP (ENGLISH/CHINESE)

All participants will be scheduled to attend an audition on either 19 or 20 Nov 2008. Three finalists will be selected to compete at the finals on 22 Nov 2008.

PERFORMANCE GUIDELINES

- Groups of 2 to 6 members each can be formed with any combination of singers and instrumentalists
- Groups are to perform a Christian song of duration 3 to 5 mins long
- Lyrics to express a Christian viewpoint (on one hand without necessarily including any direct reference to the names or titles of God, on the other hand it should not merely remain at the level of a love song to a human despite/even with the use of hyperboles)
- Lyrics can be in English or Chinese
- For the auditions, instrumentalists are to provide their own instruments (except for keyboard and standard drum set which will be provided)
- At the auditions, groups must also bring along a copy of the song to be performed (either lead sheet or lyrics)

AWARDS
Judges' Choice will be awarded to the group with the highest score given by the panel of judges comprising renowned Christian musicians/songwriters based on the following criteria:

Musicality (pitching & intonation, rhythmic feel, instrumental technique)

Voters' Choice will be awarded to the group with the highest number of votes received during the voting by the audience at the finals.
