Deuteronomy 31:8 says "The LORD Himself goes before you and will be with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged." I would like my listeners to know that no matter what happens in life, God will always be with us. When God is with us, what is there to be afraid of? When we have faith in God, we'll see His doings and we'll see Him with us.

Our inspiration is the way God works in our daily lives as ordinary students, our struggles that we face everyday and how we always look up to God no matter how hard the challenge is, we believe in Him, we can. Our song contains a jazz element and we wanna put gospel in a different genre, we wanna tell our listeners that hey, it's easy to be in touch with God, just lift up your hands and pray and God will show you the way :)

I wrote this song hoping to convey what most of us would feel or ponder in our minds. Basically, having been through various experiences in life, I always ask myself the question "so when we are at our wits' end, who controls what is beyond us? who has a greater hand in acting upon or creating the universe? how about trying to figure things which we can't fathom?" Through this song, I hope that we can all know that there is indeed a greater being who is above us, holding a greater control over things which are beyond our control.

I wrote the chorus for a friend on her birthday because despite her popularity, she told me nobody really remembers her birthday. Imagining the overwhelming loneliness I thought she had, I encouraged her to look to the One who will be with us when we are lonely. After that the song sat in a corner for a while... until I met my season of loneliness. I thought.... someone out there in the world must have felt what I felt. Surely, everybody must have had their season of loneliness! And so this song became a song I wrote for all who are going through their season of loneliness. I hope to encourage you to remember the One who walks with you through your tears and hurts. Don't give up hope yet... when this season is over, you will look back and laugh at your silly emo days, or maybe it will become a source of inspiration for other people. God is not through with you yet!

This song’s inspiration came when I (Aaron) accepted Christ after years of church-ing. Previously, I wanted out of hell more than God, and thought my sincere sinner's prayer saved me. However, I always wondered about the more effective healings from mediums and medicine, emotional-highs at clubs & socials, and more practical advice from psychologists and motivational-speakers, than as compared to church - what's so Significant about being Christian then? As God took me through the New Testament, I felt the 4 questions come, but I couldn’t answer. I then realized: What’s Significant is being honest with Christ if I truly love Him!

Oh, just to lose what we cannot keep, to gain what we can't lose! Do the beatitudes prove to be all true in this world too!

When life's significance is in salvation, That's found in a man who came to this world as God, We'll count all things as loss, Just to gain Christ as all, And drop all we have, Everything we have, And turn, Just to follow Him! If we have to leave our friends to love Him as our best, Do you think we'll believe in Him? Or to give up every cent, for riches up in heaven, Do you think we'll still follow Him?
